Falling Leaves & East Kingdom Equestrian Championships

We hope you can join us for Falling Leaves and East Kingdom Equestrian Championship 2025!  Come hang out with friends, watch some incredible feats of horsemanship, and check out some of the activities the SCA has to offer.  In addition to the Equestrian Champs competition there will be a JOUST, Rattan and Rapier Tourneys, Thrown Weapons, Archery, A&S, Merchants, and Youth Activities.  (More details to come).

• THIS IS A DRY SITE, NO ALCOHOL IS TO BE CONSUMED ON THE SITE GROUNDS

• There will be a simple dayboard available to all attendees, but you are also welcome to bring your own food and drink!  All activities will be paused around mid-day so that we may all enjoy some food and a JOUST!

•Site is pet friendly, but please consider keeping pets away from the Equestrian rings since horses can be spooked easily.

•If you wish to bring your horse(s) to this event, please contact the Equestrian Marshal-in-Charge, Alanna of Skye (137169@members.eastkingdom.org) PRIOR to the event.  Per the site, current negative Coggins and inter-state health certificate are required.  Currently the site is asking these to be made available 2 weeks prior to the event.  These should be submitted to the Equestrian Marshal-in-Charge in advance via email. 

•Any merchants wishing to attend please contact the event steward & merchant coordinator (Contact info listed at bottom of this post) directly for space allocation.

HEAVY LIST DETAILS:

To the populace of the East and the Barony of Carolingia I, Albrecht Ostergaard, bid greetings!

For all those who participate in Knightly Foot Combat within our illustrious barony and
beyond I would offer invitation and opportunity for renown.  Falling Leaves fast approaches
and such a storied event carries with it several contests of arms.  For those heavy list
combatants who wish to participate and demonstrate their comportment and prowess,
Carolingia will be hosting a round robin double elimination tournament.

Inspections and Authorizations will start at 9:30am and tournament sign up will begin at
10:30am.  The tournament proper will begin at 11:00am, please be prompt with sign up,
inspection, or any authorizations beforehand.


FENCING INFORMATION:

To all who wish to fence at Falling Leaves, there will be a variety of opportunities, including tournaments, melees, and time for pick-ups. 
Inspections and Authorizations will start at 9:30 am.  There will be a rapier tournament that will begin promptly at 11:00 am; please be signed in and ready before this time.  The format will be either Swiss Points or Round Robin, depending on the number of combatants.  After lunch, there will be a Cut & Thrust Tourney followed by melee scenarios.  Come join us for the fun!


ARCHERY DETAILS:

The Archery range will have both a novelty shoot, and beginner targets (and instruction).  Royal Rounds may also be possible if requested.


THROWN WEAPONS DETAILS:

The TW range will be open to all comers, be you brand new or seasoned throwers!  This event is a great place to try out thrown weapons for the first time!  Come give it a go!
