The Incipient Canton of Gleann nam Feòrag Dhuibhe is the Media, PA chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, known as the SCA, dedicated to researching and recreating many aspects of medieval life and times.
An Gleann nam Feoraige Duibhe (pronounced uhn gleaun -rhymes with town- nam feaw-ree-kuh du-eev-uh) means "The Valley of the Black Squirrel", named after a species indigenous to this region of the United States. We are a subset of the Barony of Bhakail (www.bhakail.eastkingdom.org) in the East Kingdom (www.eastkingdom.org) of the Society for Creative Anachronism (www.sca.org).
We have organized this chapter for the purpose of expanding the membership and activities of the Barony of Bhakail and to locate more of these members and activities in the suburbs, since many of us find it difficult to travel into the city regularly, where many of the Baronial practices and meetings are held.
All good gentles are invited to partake of our activities. Interested spectators are encouraged to try everything. All activities are taught as we go; experience is not necessary. Gentlefolk with exciting new skills are encouraged to share them with us as well - we love to learn!

2nd and 4th Tuesdays: Garb Workshop: 7-9pm in Clifton Heights
1st Wednesdays: Barony Meeting (see www.bhakail.eastkingdom.org)
2nd Wednesdays: Brewers' Guild (see www.celticcockbrewersguild.org)
1st and 3rd Thursdays: A&S Night 7pm-9pm
at the home of Eleanora
2nd Thursday: Canton Meeting 7:30-9pm
at the Middletown Free Library
3rd Sunday: Heraldry Workshop: 2pm-whenever at the Gallowglass home
