Officer’s reports
Seneschal
I have made my quarterly report.
The Potes have withdrawn their request to
join the Canton.
The commons was successful. The Barony was
very pleased as well and may come back to us next year for the Championship.
We have an active officer corps and three
quarterly reports under our belt, so we're on track for graduating from incipiency.
Exchequer
We made money on the commons and covered all our expenses. We have overage,
and per our decision in last month's meeting we will be splitting the overage
with Harsthorndale since they promised to split any uncovered expenses. Damiana
has the event records.
Chatelaine
Quarterly report was submitted on time. Reported on the last two demo/events
we did. Also reported on Project Day and how many people attended.
We met our new member formerly ofWhyt
Whey again tonight.
Web Mininster
I have some information to put up on
the website and make sure it's all updated.
MOAS
We are continuing with our casting classes on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays
of every month at Lady Eleanora's house from 7pm - 10pm. We have a new
guy who joined us last Thursday.
We have bellydancing
classes on Monday nights between 7:30 and 8:30 at Lady Elenora's.
Bhakail Garb workshops are moved to
2nd and 4th Tuesday nights in nearby Clifton Heights. Lots of people
attend. There is only one more garb workshops before Pennsic.
Brewer's Guild meets 2nd Wednesdays
at rotating locations - periodically it meets in the canton.
Sign-making was completed. We will be
modifying the signs to make the direction of the arrows more obvious.
Herald
I am officially warranted. (Crowd cheers).
Heraldry workshop is 2pm-until
hosts are tired every third Sunday of the month. This month will be
on July 15th. Anything you want to work on as long as it's heraldry-related.
Chamberlain
We have a new addition of two banner-pole
holders (portable holes made by Bran at the Middletown Demo)).
We have new signs.
Otherwise, we have stuff.
Mael Eoin has a set fo armor to donate
for loaner armor.
We also have some rattan for loaner
gear that needs hilts (Mael Eoin has hilts that need sticks).
Chronicler
The first issue of the new run of In
a Nutshell will be published by the middle of October, being the start
of the 4th quarter. This issue will
focus on A&S.
Anyone with anything they would like to have published please contact
the Chronicler in some manner for inclusion in the newsletter. Martial Activities
Fencing is over for the spring and will resume in the fall.
We have as many as 3 or 4 fighters in the canton now.
Robin made a motion, Cat seconded, to
appoint Mael Eoin to the position of Knight Marshal for the canton. The
Canton enthusiastically votes yes. Considering getting practice space
at Williamson.
Thrown weapons practice is on 1st, 3rd,
and 5th Tuesdays starting May 29. No Practice during either week of Pennsic.
Fighting practice is in Bhakail and
going strong on Thursday nights; contact Lord Darmon. Can also contact
the Caer Adamant marshal. This week Caer Adamant's practice is at Padraig's
on Sunday night; the next week down in Delaware City. No Prctice during
Pennsic.

None.
New Business
Eleanora would like to adopt Muin's
cast squirrel artwork as our new mascot and call him Fred. Shannon
second. There were none opposed - we have a new mascot.
Shannon - motion to translate
our name into english. Robin recommends that we table that until
we come out of incpiency.
Cat - motion to have a canton
bard - appointed annually by some contest. Cat has also volunteered
to organize the first competition and would be willing to send.
Quintus seconded. Bardic and performing arts both included. All
in favor.
Noises were made about having a madrigal choir. Noises were also
made about having campfire bardic evenings.
We have an interest in European dance. We have two libraries and
an elementary school willing to host us. We have dance teachers willing
to travel. Suba - motion to start dance practices in the fall. Quintus
seconded. None opposed. Motion passes.
We have been asked by Lady Jane and Don Justinian if we would be
willing to host a dance event in our canton. 30-60 attendees, dance
and dayboard only. Note - we have a lot of fall events already and
would be best served by waiting until spring. Suba volunteered to
autocrat. Suba so motions. Katy Lynn seconds. Motion passes unanimously.
Shannon would still like to do the tavern event - gaming and singing.
Suba has volunteered to look for a site.
