Officer’s reports

Seneschal

Grainne and I have come to an agreement over the disposition of the 19070 zip code, which happens to contain the Potes. Grainne has no objection to transferring it to us, nor do I. The regional seneschal has been notified of our agreement. Duncan has asked us to please give him a few days to confirm that this acquisition does not adversely affect any borders and satisfies kingdom requirements. When the kingdom approves this we will be able to grant the Potes' petition to join our canton.

Exchequer

We have $602. We reimbursed Baroness Philadelphia $70 for the reservationRidley Creek site for the commons. We have received a $2o donation for the commons. We received a $23 donation from the sale of chain mail goodies at the Middletown Pride Day Demo. We have an outstanding (canton finance committe-approved) receipt for lumber for the SCA road signs of approximately $20.

Chatelaine

The Middletown Pride Day Demo went extremely well with many folks from inside and outside the canton contributing in major ways.

We met our soon-to-be new member from Whyt Whey.

Reported by Suba.

Shannon has offered to take up the Chatelaine post and has cleared this with the Kingdom Seneschal such that it will not conflicgt with her kingdom chronicler duties.

Web Mininster

We have a website.

MOAS

The casting class last week was cancelled; nonetheless casting classes continue with the next one being June 21st. Classes are at Elenora's from 7pm -9:30pm.

Spoof A&S competition suggested.

Upcoming classes on mosaics after we tire of casting (which may be a while).

We have bellydancing classes on Monday nights between 7:30 and 8:30 at Lady Elenora's.

Every Thursday that we don't have a canton meeting is an A&S night 7pm-9pm - currently we're doing casting and silk painting - new teachers are welcome. Currently classes are wide open to new attendees.

Bhakail Garb workshops are moved to 2nd and 4th Tuesday nights in nearby Clifton Heights. Lots of people attend. There are only four more garb workshops before Pennsic.

Brewer's Guild meets 2nd Wednesdays at rotating locations - periodically it meets in the canton.

Sign-making workshop part 1 was successful on May 20th. Part 2 will be held at noon on Sunday June 17th (Father's Day).

Herald

We have a submission as soon as the submitter provides the fee.

Heraldry workshop is 2pm-until hosts are tired every third Sunday of the month. This month will be on June 17th. Anything you want to work on as long as it's heraldry-related.

Herald needs to be warranted. Still waiting for a reply.

Chamberlain

We have a new addition of two banner-pole holders (portable holes made by Bran at the Middletown Demo)). Request for paper goods, coolers, shade flies for the commons has been accepted.

Otherwise, we have stuff.

Hartshordale-Bhakail commons June 30:

Baronness Scheherazade requested that we set up a toys for tots drop-off at the commons. The canton approves and will provide an ez-up, a sign and a staff member rotation to keep an eye on it. Might put it near one of the MOL tables or have more than one drop point.

Samhain Nov 3:

Checked baronial bylaws - there is no requirement to put Chatelaine to a vote as long as it is not contested. Nonetheless a vote was taken and all were in favor with a few recusions due to potential conflict of interest.
