Quarterly seneschal report due April 15. We've been petitioned to annex another zip code (the Pote family). Channels have been opened with the Barony; the possibility is being investigated. Exchequer We have $722. Per Cat - the Canton may be receiving a check from Gulf Wars - apparently groups whose memberes volunteered get a portion of the proceeds from the event. Chatelaine We have people! Demo is going well - we got an e-mail from somebody who was saddened that we had cancelled our Beltane event. The individual was really looking forward to going. Web Mininster We have a website. Suba updated the Beltane web page to show that the event was cancelled. Suba and Cat will each check to see who has the records of permission for personal information to appear on the website. MOAS We had our second class on casting. We had two more people come to our class for a total of eight people. The MOAS report was filed via e-mail and acknowledged. The next casting class is the first thursday of April (April 5th). We have had four bellydancing classes on Monday nights between 7:30 and 8:30. We have a newcomer who comes. Every Thursday that we don't have a canton meeting is an A&S night 7pm-9pm - currently we're doing casting and silk painting - new teachers are welcome.. Bhakail Garb workshops are moved to Tuesday nights in nearby Clifton Heights. Bardic workshops at Tristan's house on second mondays, check with Tristan: bardic@feoragdubh.eastkingdom.org. On one of the Thursday night A&S nights will be a favor-making workshop for the next K&Q. This way we can give a nice presentation at the next Royal Progress. Chain mail workshop was this past month. Will talk about more workshops soon. Brewer's Guild meets 2nd Wednesdays at rotating locations - periodically it meets in the canton. Herald Heraldry workshop is Sunday 2pm-when hosts are tired every third sunday on the month. Anything you want to work on as long as it's heraldry-related. Fighting practice is in Bhakail and going strong; contact Lord Darmon. Can also contact the Caer Adamant marshal. Archery in Delaware at Padraig's on hold until spring. Hartshorndale has indoor archery practice. There is a temperature limitation for archery. Bhakail practices are also suspended until spring. Finance Committee Membership requirements include canton residency and SCA membership. Insurance for Indian Lane for 2008 will be submitted. Event Committees Beltane: Event has been cancelled. Suggested we bid on K&Q Equestrian next Spring preferred dates are in May/June there are no regional rotation requirements. Bids should be in by January. Middletown Township Family Pride Day Demo ...is now ON! Andrew is now on the Middletown Township pride day committee - they meet every other friday. They've decided that anybody that attends with us can be covered under our one form signed by our seneschal. They need to know ASAP how many people we're bringing and how many merchants and what kind of activities we can bring. Space is somewhat at a premium, so we'll want to be aware of merchant space requirements. We will not be the only ones in costume this year - Media Theater, Hedgerow Theater, and Colonial Plantation will all be sending people. RVCO also brings people. Space is at a premium. Merchanting will have to be carefully negotiated. Need to find out requirements for selling baked goods. Next meeting event planning meeting will be Sunday April 1st at Dan and Damiana's house at 5pm unless you hear differently on the e-mail list. Call Cat tomorrow to update the website. Old Business Hartshorn-dale is in charge of the H-B commons this year and would like to do it at Ridley Creek State Park. The Hartshorn-dale contact for this would like aco-autocrat from the canton. Elenora is willing to serve as a co-autocrat for this. Elenora will contact. Coolers! At Beltane meeting we discussed getting an igloo just for coffee. Motion to table this until the next meeting. Robin - seconded Suba. Motion tabled. Meeting space: Robin - past discussion of meeting in a public space in order to be less intimidating to newcomers. Third Thurs of the month is their board meeting. Do we wish to consider moving our meeting again? Mondays are under consideration - canton members will be polled. SCA has decreed that meetings must be held in an ADA-compliant public meeting space. The poll resulted in a dead tie for Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Mondays are out here at Middletown Library. 1st and 4th Tues are okay, or 2nd or 4th Thurs. At Williamson there are two handica-accessible meeting rooms. They need to find out if we have applicable insurance. Fee not known.
