Canton Meeting Minutes

Wednesday March 22, 2006

Present: Lord William Graham, Lady Suba al-Hadid, Lady Eleanora the Tilemaker, Lord Marcus Atheniou, Lord Deiniol ap Gwyrgwst.

Canton Meeting

Meeting called to order at 7:57pm

Officer’s reports

Seneschal

Greetings and hello! The baby is doing better after her hospital visit for rotovirus.

Met with the Baronial Seneschal and all is on good footing.

Post-Beltane will move to request full canton status. Apparently any group that is incipient for more than two years gets examined.

After Beltane we'll meet to plan aggressive recruiting and retention.

Reports due: Seneschal report April 15th; Exchequer April 30th, Chatelaine April 10th. MOAS March 1 and June 1.

Our Current balance wass $908.18
We had one expnediture: $100 for insurance for Beltane. New balance $808.18

We have two new members, Mike and Joanne Pistek. Welcome!

Beltane page needs updating.

MOAS

Advertising garb night.

Gifts to the Royals were well-received.

Bardic workshops at Tristan's house on second mondays bardic@feoragdubh.eastkingdom.org.

Workshop for making Beltane tokens (pouches) April 15th at 2pm.

Herald

Trying to collect maps and devices for all the groups in the East Kingdom.

Chamberlain

Working on local set of poles for flys. We only have the one fly. The other one may have been left in the storage at Pennsic. We already have threaded rods, tent stakes and wooden 'dogs'.

May be taking over Baronial Chamberlain.

Martial Activities

Thrown weapons has recessed until late April.

Delaware has fighter practice in claymont.

Alaine runs a fencing practice on Friday nights.

Archery in Delaware at Padraig's

We need new targets for thrown weapons if anyone has any down trees.

Beltane budget reviewed.

Beltane:

Next Beltane meeting is Sunday Mar 26 at 3:30pm at Arasapha.
Site owner has approvd bringing horses and dogs and siege.
Lorcan and Katherine and Lawrence organizing champion battles in heavy, fencing, archery, A&S
Melee? Approved.
Ian Raven is on board.
Brewing champions.
Brewers University - William and Gavan will get back to us shortly.
Coins have arrived.
Fencers doing a role-playing tournament.
Padraig is on board for archery
