Canton Meeting Minutes

Wednesday January 25, 2006

Present: Lord William Graham, Lady Eleanora the Tilemaker, Lord Marcus Atheneo, Lady Damiana, Lord Deiniol, Lady Suba

Canton Meeting

Meeting called to order at 8:30pm

Officer’s reports

Seneschal

We have zip codes. We are still incipient.

Token of appreciation bestowed on Suba for stuff.

All officers greatly appreciated.

Please turn in your reports on time.

Exchequer

Our previous reported balance was $968.18
There was a canton expenditure of $60 in December for the Canton's Banner
Our current balance is therefore $908.18

Chatelaine

Del Co Neighbors section of Phila Inq will have an article. Includes info on going to K&Q Rapier.

4th Quarter Chatelaine report was turned in.

Will set a date for meeting to plan to recruit and retain more people.

Web mistress

New zip-code stuff has been posted.

Chamberlain

We have stuff.

At the end of March we'll put the poles for the fly together.

Finance committee authorized up to $20 for banner pole and stand materials.

MOAS

Bardic workshops at Tristan's house on Second Mondays.

Planning to start Tuesday A&S nights. Silk painting one night. Mosaics another night.

Planning to make seat cushions for gifts for K&Q at Rapier championships.
4 seat cushions, and 4 baskets or trays each with mixed shelled nuts a stuffed squirrels, and a bottle of cordial.
Meeting 1pm Feb 5 at Dan & Damiana's.

Eleanora's device has a conflict. .

Thrown weapons has recessed until April.

Finance Committee

Approved Beltane budget.

Approved $20 for banner pole and stand materials.

Next Beltane meeting is Sunday Feb 5 at 4pm.

Banner expenditure approved.

New Business

Congratulations to Woolly, Lady Suba, and Lady Eleanora for their recognition in Baronial court at Noisemaker Schola.

We have been urged to present gifts again to royals; this is good for the canton's reputation. This subject tabled until spring. After Beltane. No wait - K&Q Rapier is March 4 in our canton. Eleanora volunteered to lead a project to present gifts to their Majesties.

Alles Faire is Mem Day Weekend.

Same place 1st weekend Nov is Convivencia - When Jews, Muslims, and Christians lived in some kind of harmony.

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 7:30pm at the home of Eleanora the Tilemaker.
