Wednesday November 23, 2005Present: Lord William Graham, Lady Eleanora the Tilemaker, Lord Marcus, Lady Damiana, Lord Deiniol, Lady Suba Beltane Meeting called to order at 7:15pm Concern about seneschal being the autocrat. William is willing to serve but is willing to let another serve. Suba volunteered to take William's place in order to address the concern. Group agreed. Dates. Don't want to collide with Dover Days (we wish to support Caer Adamant). May 6th we believe is Dover Days (1st sat in May). Although the next weekend in May is mothers day weekend, we think we can manage clean up. Next Beltane meeting is Sunday Dec 4 at 4pm at Dan and Damiana's house. Canton Meeting Meeting called to order at 7:48pm Officer’s reports Seneschal We are still going through zip code negotiations. We are willing to make whatever concessions are necessary as long as we don't lose members. The entire Canton is adamant that we not give up any active members. After the holidays, in our copious spare time, we want to come up with a plan to recruit and retain members. Rogues Den is closing. Exchequer Our previous reported balance was $1,032.56. Chatelaine Nothing to report. Damiana has some gold key to contribute. Web mistress Nothing to report. Some web pages and menus need to be updated to remove out-dated information. Chamberlain Should have fly. Damiana will give the sliders and the stakes. Still need poles and ropes for the home set; The next set will be bought out of Pennsic funds. K&Q Rapier does not need our pavilion. MOAS Bardic workshops at Tristan's house. House is available for garb workshops on Tuesdays. Herald Gave a talk at the Schola. Could repeat the class at Beltane. Banner - we talked about asking for a new banner from Patricia toland . Financial commitee members approved spending between $40-$90 on the banner. Martial Activities Thrown weapons has recessed until April. At the last ARchery practice, Deiniol shot his personal best Special committees Finance Committee Voted to approve spending between $40-$90 for a banner. Event Committees Beltane: Met tonight; see above for report. Old Business Banner expenditure approved. New Business Congratulations to Woolly, Lady Suba, and Lady Eleanora for their recognition in Baronial court at Noisemaker Schola. We have been urged to present gifts again to royals; this is good for the canton's reputation. This subject tabled until spring. After Beltane. No wait - K&Q Rapier is March 4 in our canton. Eleanora volunteered to lead a project to present gifts to their Majesties. Comments for the good of the Canton The next meeting is scheduled
