Elections
Seneschal: We have two positions open, we'll
open with elections.
MOAS: any other nominations? No. Nominations
closed. Since there are no other candidates, voting is not necessary and
Elenora is accepted as MOAS.
Seneschal: any other nominations? No. Nominations
closed. No other candidates having stepped forward, Lord William Graham is
ratified as Seneschal.
Herald - there are no viable candidates
for the position. The position remains open at this time. Since we have the
required officers we believe this will be acceptable to kingdom.
Chronicler - has resigned due to moving
out of the canton borders and mundane claims on her time. She and her fantastic
newsletter will be missed. Suba motions to open nominations. Lord William
second. Lord William nominates Bilgisayar, Suba seconds. Bilgisayar accepts
the nomination. Nominations remain open until and during the next meeting.
Seneschal
Officers: must send your report to kingdom
on time as per your officers.
There will be an officers meeting. We will
discuss times during new business.
Please come out and support Hafla.
We have a small sort-of-issue. Chatelaine-
Elenora would like to step back from the Chatelaine duties in order to properly
attend to MOAS duties. Magdalena - there has been no activitiy at all in
recent months. Duties include demos, gold key, and reports as required. Suba
got railroaded volunteered to assume the Chatelaine duties.
If there are any interested holding the post of Chatelaine, please contact
Lord William.
Exchequer
Waiting for proposals for events so we can
have a proposed budget. Financial dinations to the canton are tax deductible
- receipts will be issued for any donations . A check was cut for Keegan
regarding the gate donated to the barony for Pennsic - Fiona will follow
up to be sure it was mailed to him.
Chatelaine
Outgoing Chatelaine: Nothing
new since last month. No new contacts. Chatelaine will attend the baronial
newcomers meeting. Contact Cal regarding preferred dates for newcomer meetings.
Lord William: Reports are very very important.
Even if there is nothing to report, a report must be sent. Looking for
a report from Suba.
Lord William - all officers: please send
me copies of all reports when sent. Send to the Southern Regional deputy
and/or Kingdom officer depending on that Kingdom officer's policy.

time. Fencing practice has been suspended until further notice.
Chronicler
Position is currently empty..
Chamberlain

is assumed.
Special
committees
Finance Commitee
Current members: Lord William, Fiona,
and Deiniol. Approved Keegan's reimbursement and check has been cut.
Finance committee needs to meet again to plan a budget for 2005.
Event Committee
We believe we need to have an event
every year even though we are incipient and not a full-status canton.
To get it in the April Pikestaff for an end-of-month event, we have
to
have
a
notice
with
a site in
by February
25th.
Regarding classes at an event - the
EK brewer's guild wants a southern regional collegium in the spring.
For a collegium, there should be no activities other than classes,
which lets us off the hook for a big event. This would mean a dayboard
and one track of classes only. Advertising outside of
the SCA will be word-of-mouth only.
We do already have a timeslot reseverd
in the Southern Region for whichever weekend isn't crown, so we'd like
to use that.
All present are agreed that the canton
would like to tackle the event.
We are in agreement that at some
point Lord William and Bilgisayar will contact Arasapha Farms regarding
Beltaine in '06.
First meeting: a sunday afternoon
- since Jan 16th is out we will meet for about an hour on Sunday January
8th. Elenora has offered her house for the meeting and been accepted.
Meeting time is set for 1:30.
Old Business
Last months motion to donate $50 to
the baronial meeting site fee is still in front of the finance committee.
Bilgisayar's proposal to the barony
regarding pavilion will be $295 for canvas, add shipping, and make
our own poles and ropes. Bilgisayar has a spreadsheet proposal that
he will provide after talking to the barony and bring to the next meeting.
New
Business
Dance practice - call for interest
level within the canton yielded that at this time it's not as strong
an interest. Therefore due to Suba assuming new responsibilities dance
practice will be allowed to die out for the time being.
Comments for the good of the
