Monday November 1, 2004 Present: Keegan,
Damiana, Deiniol, Eleanor, Robin, Dan, Corwyn, Bilgisayar, Fiona, Lord William
Graham, Marrun, Katrine Officer’s reports: Seneschal Indian Lane School is good to go (dance practice) (fencing), black out dates have been posted on the web site Exchequer Nothing new since last month Chronicler Looking for deputy. Sept & Oct issues posted to web site Chatelaine Nothing new since last month Marshal of Fence Tuesday 7:30 - 10pm practice at Indian Lane School. Observe blackout dates. 11 is YULE (Bhakail) more details at Bhakail’s web site. Herald Deiniol is passing the baton. He must resign because of other activities. Anyone may submit a letter of intent……..thank you to all……….. Webmistress September and October newsletters are posted finally. Fencing practice updated to reflect new location. Thrown Weapons taken down due to end of season. Dance Practice about to be posted. Chamberlain Lord Corwyn Special committees Finance Commitee Suba has stepped down from the finance committee. Our options are to get a 5th person or have Eleanora step down. Eleanora can be Deiniol’s proxy. Beltaine Brew and Brawl Special meeting on Nov 14th at Keegan’s place 3pm. We will try to get an extra field at Arasapha Farm for the fighters. Date of event: Apr 30th, May 1st & 2nd. Old Business Dance Practice: Not only do we have space, but three dance masters/mistresses have accepted
our invitation to lead dancing. Several are available to start with us
on November 8, including Daffydd from Bhakail, Duriel from Caer Adamant,
and Lady Jane and THL Justinian from Iron Bog. Press release and flyer
have gone to the Seneschal for approval, though press release may be
too late to go to print for the November dance practice. New Business 1) Suba: I recently acquired free space in the Middletown Fire House for my son’s cub scout troop and my contact there told me that any non profit community group in the Middletown Township area can use the firehouse for free since it’s in their charter – this includes for fundraiser dinners. We would be able to hold canton meetings in the community room if we wanted, and if we wanted more space, such as for a tournament or a feast, we would be able to use the fire engine bays. We’d be able to seat 150-200 people. I think there might be a modest rental fee for some of our activities depending on how they’re classified by the firehouse. I would like to make a motion to discuss requesting space for canton meetings with the intention of relocating the meetings to there. Firehouse in Middletown has been scanned for possible Canton meetings or other meetings. Keegan would feel ‘funny’ there (issues of staff?) Kitchen is not big enough for feast prep. Fencing would be good there and can be held in one of the bays if weather was bad.Members see no benefit to changing site for monthly meeting at this time. Suba can set up a walk-thru for other members to see it.Is it ‘dry’ or ‘ wet’? Unknown. 2) Middletown Township Day DEMO is May 7th, 2005. A person who is a bead maker can participate at this but would need a dedicated tent 3) Damiana is accepting YULE reservations. Forms were handed out Comments for the good of the Canton “Let us move forward as a group of friends…no backdoor comments anymore…speak to me (Keegan) privately if you have any issues.” -Keegan Meeting Adjourned at 8:35 pm Next Meeting is scheduled for Monday December 6, 2004 at Elenora's house.
