It's been a quiet month.

Exchequer

Wen t to an exchequer's meeting at Pennsic. SCA exchequer has a group . Gave the rules for recording for cantons or guilds. There's a whole sheet here. If the canton does not have its own bank account as of the issuing of the ruling then they're not going to get one and we'll keep our funds with the barony and the funds will be marked as ours; the barony then reports our funds with theirs.

Income to date: $4767.00

Our expenses $3589.25

Balance: $1177.75 in the dedicated fund portion of the canton.

Keegan submitted receipt for approx $30 for pilings for gate which we donated to the baronial encampment.

Chronicler

I'm missing personal contact information for a few officers and their deputies listed in the newsletter (Corwin, William Fitzwater, Magdelena). If you'd like your info listed, send me an email with your full SCA name and whatever mundane information you'd like to appear. I'll need a statement from you saying basically it's all right to publish the mundane info in connection to your SCA name.

I'm looking for a deputy with English writing skills and basic HTML knowledge.
Contact me if you're interested (address below).

I am also seeking combat-related articles, stories, art and other materials for the October issue.

Sought-after topics include anything to do with:
archery
thrown weapons
youth fighting
rapier fighting
heavy fighting
early gunpowder weapons and use
marshaling
MOLing
waterbearing the field
combat-related Pennsic stories
etc etc- your imagination applies

Please send submissions for the October issue by October 10th, to....

canton_chronicler@yahoo.com

Knight Marshal

Office presently stands empty.

Chamberlain

Tent - we lost the bid for the tent from Shire of Caer Adamant. General concensus is we are not anxious to rush into purchasing a tent. We'll wait for canvas at a reasonable price

Please sign up to identify any stuff not on the list.

Special committees

Members of the finance committee are now: Keegan, Fiona, Suba, Deiniol, and Elenora.

Keegan's receipt has been submitted.

Beltaine Brew and Brawl

Meeting on Saturday November 6th to create a budget to submit to finance committee. Fiona has offered her house and was accepted.

>Geoffrey - Rapier stuff for Beltaine - and tavern concept - a woods melee that involves sheet walls and 'buildings' made of pvc pipe. Have the fabric courtesy of Deiniol. Donating completed project to canton. Could be used for sectioning a gym for various activities too. Need a way of holding the sheets up - Keegan will donate the construction. will need money from the canton to construct. could use to separate lists as well. Heavy weapons could use but might not work out as well. Good for staking out lists of any kind, including kids areas. Could be a maze for kids.

Need help to make a 'town' and an intereactive role-playing fencing game. Geoff will name a date and we'll all help. This will be like a live-action role-playing game.
