Officer’s reports:

Seneschal

My apologies for not being around, some mundane issues have been pulling me in many directions. Thanks to everyone for taking up the slack while I was absent. Eveything is now going well and I am getting back up to speed. The event planning is going well. Everyone please pre-reg for the event and talk it up as much as possible.

Exchequer

We have reimbursed our herald for his expense to have our device authorized ($19). The registration forms for the Beltaine event are available, prices have appeared in the Kingdom publication.  Money should be flowing in. Registrations are at 20 (last I heard).
Per Suba's confirmation, deferring her reimbursement until after Beltaine.

No money has been spent on the event so far. (Damaiana would have more info).

Chatelaine

We have new people who have expressed interest; after giving them information we have not heard anything more.

Still need to be warranted.

Should William Graham pursue the May Day demo?  We think it's at the Williamson Trade School.  Yes, please do!

Mistress of Arts and Sciences

Attended the Robin Netherton lecture on Feb. 28. I learned some very interesting things. Took lots of notes, if interested I can type them up and post them on the MOAS webpage (14th century womens' dress).

I'm still working on the Doomsday book and need eveyone's information.

Affliations (households, guilds, etc.)
Color Copies for award scrolls (scaled to 8 1/2" by 11", if possible)

Still need teachers for the Beltaine Event.
I have two 1 hour spots left in the Misc A&S category and I know Cellach is looking for Textile classes and Sabine may still be looking for Bardic.

K&Q A&S championship spinrg war camp in Owl's Reste mid-april?

Garb class is changing to corsets and bodices see Uncle Rashid.

Herald

Working on three arms, Suba's, Katrine's, and a broken one. Away to Miami on a business trip Sun-Tues.

Katrine submitted her arms at the K&Q bardic champions event.

Knight Marshal

Office presently stands empty.

Marshal of Fence

I'm looking into a possible indoor practice site at the Philadelphia Airport. Might work for Heavy weapons too.

Still looking into space at the Ridley Park Borough Bldg

Lord William Graham is also still investigating a site. Francis Hevary green school in bethel township.

Meanwhile, fencing continues at the Bhakail practice.

(We have a printout of SCA info for Site Owners)(Also in online Exchequer handbook is the papers of incorporation and the tax-exempt letter from IRS)(don't bring up insurance unless they ask but we have all the necessary paperwork)

Webmistress

We officially have space on the East Kingdom website, and we will move after the Beltaine event, though I can start moving pieces over now.

Am pleased to be able to update our officer's page to reflect the new statuses of two of our officers.

The Beltaine webpage is looking very nice.

Exchquer devices - there is one all-kingdom exchequer device and two EK exchequer devices.  Fiona can pick the one she likes.

Chronicler

I've ordered a new home computer, as my old one died an unpleasant death. I have saved the newsletter materials, but lack access to my art software for now.  I'm arranging for help with that until my new machine arrives.

I ask for your patience: this newsletter issue may be delayed, as it will mostly be done from work (quite busy at the moment, and I need to fit Beltaine tasks in as well). But it looks like it will be a very good issue when it's done.

I would like to publish a post-event report of Beltaine. Please contact me if you are interested and involved in planning the event.

April will be a themed issue, and the theme is kids! I will be putting out a special call for submissions.

May issue may be about beer.

See after the meeting.

Old Business

No Old Business was discussed.

New Business

Indian Lane Elementary: Demos on March 15th, April 2, April 16th, and May 24th.

I'd like to strongly recommend that every officer have a drop-dead deputy who does not reside within the same mundane household.  Elenora volunteered to be MOAS drop-dead deputy.

Judith the Confused broguth up the MDA camp 16th Wed of June 4:30-10:00pm Variety camp outside of Norristown.  Please contact her to volunteer.  It's in Hartshorndale.  Lorcan will ask her on Saturday.  they have a person in charge of demos whom we can connect to Judith.  This is an easy demo,  even if you can show up at 6pm this would work.

Meeting called to order: 8:34pm

Site tokens are complete!  Black and gold for on-board and colored for off-board.  80 on-board, and 200+ off-board If we run out we will stamp hands.

The Mundane EMS people have decided to camp as EMT's and will be there the whole time.  How concerned are we about chiurgeons?  Robin Gallowglass is checking to make sure he can be available.  Una is getting married and moving to Hawaii.  If we have a token chiurgeon we might be fine.

Porta-potties - Keegan needs to set it up and will get contact info from Bilgisayar.

We have a fire marshall "Omie-San Lord Toejam" (not his real name).

We talked about a newcomers table.  We think we will settle for flyers and info at the troll booth.  If you see someone new make a point to introduce yourself.  Recommend volunteering for a shift in order to meet people. Magdalena has been railroaded into seeing if teens will volunteer for shifts of things like Herald's camp-crying corps and Newcomers Table.

Adoluphus and Mel - Sunday morning breakfast - Mel and Keegan have two propane grills-to-go,  This will benefit the Travel Fund (not the Pennsic fund).  William considering donating the eggs.  The event report and the mid-year will show the funds.  If we donate the supplies great - else we keep receipts and net out the requirements.  Bagels, cream cheese.  Keegan will make sausage and mushroom gravy in some crockpots.  Oatmeal and boiling water, coffee.  Fiona will oversee the funds.  Need a volunteer to stand over the jar on Sunday morning.

Lorcan - Luketarr's presentation is being moved to the Tavern.  Cellach's idea.

Oli has volunteered to be Blue Chief.  Need blue baldric and blue face paint.

Tavern tent has been acquired - very cool!

Balisyck has volunteered - e-mail list of needs to Geoffert. We will help them with Fishy.

Friday night three banslers and three dance cabal runing dance.  We have Tiki torches if there is not enough light from the fire.

Newsletters of other areas have been notified about our event and we've heard back from Bright Hills, Lochmere, and Caer Adamant.  Meridies and Tir-Anon would also like to hear about our event.

Thrown weapons targets!

Put trimmed stuff in the bonfire.
